Full-time ministry, that is. You might have already gathered that by my lack of posts of late. I just thought I'd take a minute and say...I absolutely love what I do! I've been in full-time ministry now for almost five months, and, despite the fact that I have much less time to blog, I spend most of my time caring for the people of God, pastoring, strategizing, and leading them in their lives of worship. And then I get to come home from work and love on my amazing wife and daughter. Could life get any better. Scary thought.

Today is St. Patty's Day. How often does St. Patrick's day fall at the beginning of Holy Week? Too bad most people, especially Irish Americans, have no clue how significant this day is in light of Holy Week, the most important week in the Church Year. St. Patrick was an amazing man, bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ as a young boy to the Green Island, and almost single-handedly (by the power of the Holy Spirit of course) turning the hearts of the Irish from drunken debauchery to Jesus. My, how we have come full-circle.

I hope you all had a super sober St. Patrick's Day, but more importantly that you all have an intoxicating Holy Week, encountering the mercy of God in a way you never have before.
